I'm a sucker for coloured skincare products. With one exception: cool blue tinted products. Personally, I have a hard time putting a toner or a cream with a blueish tint on my face. It has a unappealing clinical feel to it, and it always reminds me of Listerine mouthwash.
Yet, I enjoy working with blue pigments, especially when doing Olegels. Here I played with different ratios of a plant and mineral-based blue pigment (Sepiolite, Indigofera Tinctoria Extract) and a red-colored lipophilic extract (Helianthus annuus seed oil, Alkanna tinctoria root extract) to create different shades of mauve and berry shades.
